Hope you have managed to dodge the rain this weekend and got out and about.
Tuesday Night Runs
At our meeting on Wednesday night, it was decided that we would not change the venues for meeting up but would take off the group size restriction. One of the reasons for this, is that the Rugby Club is currently very busy on a Tuesday night with rugby and football training which makes social distancing and parking(!) quite difficult. We hope to return to the Rugby Club when all restrictions are lifted or when the rugby and football training sessions finish which ever is the earliest.
If a Lead Runner or group wish to change the meeting venue for a session, please let me know a week in advance so that I can update the spreadsheet and make sure people know where to go. Thanks!
The spreadsheet has been updated. You still need to add your name to the list for Track and Trace purposes and if you are unable to run, please remove your name as usual so that the group knows not to expect you.
The Tuesday spreadsheet can be found here:-Tuesday Night Spreadsheet
Thursday Night Sessions
These are now open to everyone who wishes to join them. Please add your name to the Thursday Night spreadsheet if you are going to attend. We are meeting at 6:30pm at the Rugby Club. The session consists of a warm -up, a focused series of exercises and a cool-down. It lasts about an hour and everyone is very welcome. The sessions are tailored to ensure that everyone, regardless of your current speed, gets something from it. It is a good opportunity to meet and chat to people that you don’t normally run with.
We are hoping to have these again this summer. They have been penciled in for the 1st Tuesday in July, August and September. Keep an eye out in the newsletter and on Facebook for them. Jo Taylor-Grieg, our social secretary, will be organising them for us.
I would like to change the format of the newsletter from the beginning of July to a monthly one which has more input from other club members. It would be good to have some Race reports, pictures (and great to have some which we can submit to the Ledbury Reporter), news from the groups, details of Social events and a more comprehensive race diary. If anyone has anything else that they would like to add into the newsletter, please do let me know.
Updates (such as reminders about pub runs, social events or venue changes) would be sent out out on an ad-hoc basis.
