First of all, many congratulations to those Harriers who were racing today. Undertaking the VLM (or any running) in the appalling weather we had today takes determination. We also had runners at the Jon Ward 5K in Hereford.
If you did do a race, please let me know and if you have photos – even better. I’ll include a full list of competitors in next week’s newsletter.
Running Venues for this week.

Gentle Joggers – Primary School Car Park

When you meet up to run, please remember to maintain a social distance.
We have 2 groups at Gentle Joggers and Easy Runners pace. One at Runners pace but with a leader available if there are people on the reserve list this week.
Obviously putting on more groups does stretch our lead runner numbers so if any of you would like to volunteer to lead a group – whether as a regular leader or just occasionally, please talk to either your lead runner or let me know and we can fill you in on what the role entails.
Lead Runners for this week are:-
Sprinters – Kate
Runners – Sarah Coggins
Easy Runners – Sally Rooke and Chloe Brown
Gentle Joggers – Tony Saunders and Jo Taylor-Greig
Jeffers – Gary Lambert
There is a limit to 5 runners plus a leader for each group with the exception of the Fast group which is 6 runners in total (no leader)
If, after signing up, you find that you can’t run on that night, please remove your name so that others can sign up.
If you could sign up by Monday evening, that will allow our Lead Runners to see who is in their group.
Please read our Risk Assessment and guidelines to Runners which can be found here.

Fast and Fun is back!
I have been in contact with the community group on Prince Rupert Road and they have no objection to us carrying on using the road for a Fast and Fun sessions providing we keep to national and local guidelines. Therefore, in the same way as a Tuesday Run, there is a Thursday sign up sheet. 6 people to each group. One group will start at 6:15 and the second group at 7:15. The session for that evening will be at the top of the relevant sheet.
Remember to warm up ready to start at either 6:15 or 7:15pm

There are also some ‘real’ races taking place as well now.
Hereford Couriers are also putting on their Xmas race again on the 28th December. https://herefordcouriers.com/club-races/christmas-10k/
This is a lovely but undulating course and gets those Christmas cobwebs blown away.
England Athletics are to release their guidance soon on Cross-Country events so please watch this space. We will let you know if the Herefordshire Winter League is going to be running this year,
If you know of any other races taking place, be it Virtually, as time trials or actual races under the new guidelines, please let me know so I can add them to the newsletter.
