Number 2 Training Jargon

What is interval running? Simply put it is running fast then recovering – keep alternating fast with recovery. The complicated bit comes when you have to decide how fast & how far to run and how much recovery to have.

At Fun & Fast we tend to assume runners are wanting to run 5k or 10k or further and they have a desire to go faster or simply make it less painful.

Interval training will make you more efficient, give you more strength, and gives you more variety in your training (this is where the fun comes in!) What’s not to like?!

Recovery can be standing still (though not my style – especially when it’s cold), walking or very gentle jogging.
