Despite all of the rain it is still good to be able to get out in the evening and to see you all on a Tuesday evening.

Jez Morse – London Marathon
Huge congratulations to Jez on completing the London Marathon last weekend. Jez was running to support a charity close to his heart, Widowed and Young (WAY). He has raised over £1600 so far and his just giving page is still open. The link is here

Membership
Thank you to all of you who have paid your membership fees. If you have not yet done so please do!
If you want England Athletics affiliation you need to pay before the end of may so that I have time to do the registration.
Unaffiliated membership £15, Affiliated membership £34.

Social Events
- Skittles Evening
Jayne is organising a skittles evening on Friday 31st May at Ledbury British Legion starting at 7.00.
The cost is £5 per head. Please email jaynecresswell@btinternet.com to book your place and send payment to the Harriers account using the reference ‘Skit’.
If you would like food please order a takeaway which you can take into the club.
I will be a fun night so don’t miss out.
2. Pub Runs
Our first pub run for the Summer will take place on Tuesday 4th June. The venue is still to be confirmed but we will meet at the pub and run from there before adjourning for chips and a drink.
Upcoming Running Events
- Newent parkrun #500
Next Saturday (4th May) is Newent parkrun’s 500th run. Catherine and Laura are Run Directors and we are having a Star Wars themed run. Please come and support the event which is popular with club members and feel free to come in fancy dress (or not). There is a promise of cake!
2. Dymock Half marathon and 5 mile Race 26th May.
This is a popular local race and we usually have a good turn out.

Finally……
There is a club committee meeting at Ledbury Rugby club at 7.45 on Thursday 2nd May. Please feel free to attend even if you are not on the committee or let Dave Elks or me know if you have any subject that you would like discussing.
